We all know how the Hollywood magic works! Seeing impossible things is easy, because they don’t happen for real! However, sometimes things are as real as they appear to be, and this is mostly true when it comes to different stunts. No producer would take chances and even simple stunts are done using doubles, and you can bet that you could never tell when the stunt double takes the real actor’s place. Some of the best celeb/stunt double lookalikes are gathered in the list below. Colin Farrell and Rowley Irlam are pictured above, and they are just one example of how identical the stunt double and the real actor could look.
1. Kit Harington and Dan Euston / Game of Thrones
As intense GoT was, it was almost impossible to tell when some of the actors were replaced by their stunt doubles. This is the whole point of choosing the right people for the job, of course! A quality production is impossible without stunt doubles who look as close to the actors as possible.
2.Reese Witherspoon and Marilee Lessley / Big Little Lies
Here is one incredible example of the effect we mentioned above. This stuntwoman could easily do close-up scenes and she would still look exactly like Reese Witherspoon! It seems the actress appreciated the fact she had a doppelganger on set!
3. Brie Larson and Marilyn Brett with their stunt doubles Renae and Heidi Moneymaker / Captain Marvel
Now this is what we call a curious photo! Seeing stunt double sisters do their thing in the same movie is amazing, and the fact that it is not just any movie but Captain Marvel makes everything even better! As you can see, the makeup done on them is on point!
4. Mena Massoud and Hasit Savani / Aladdin
If you have already seen Aladdin, chances are that you didn’t even notice that the actor who impersonated the main character had a stunt double. Once again, the magic movie producers are capable of worked like a charm and nobody realized that there was a double in some scenes!
5. Adrianne Palicki and Alicia Vela-Bailey / Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
There is so much beauty in this photo! Just looking at these gorgeous women is more than enough to make us go ‘wow’, but this is not what is important here. The photo is merely another proof that stunt doubles could look exactly the same as the real actors.
6. Alexander Skarsgård and Mark Slaughter / The Legend of Tarzan
It appears that this is one of the best duos on the list! The actor and his stunt double are virtually the same, making it impossible for any viewer to tell them apart when watching the movie.
7. Megan Fox and Maria Papathanasiou / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Megan Fox is easily one of the most beautiful actresses Hollywood has ever seen, and nobody could argue with that. This would mean that finding the right double for her could be extremely difficult, but the producers of the TMNT movie did it!
8. Chadwick Boseman and Daniel Graham / Black Panther
This one was relatively easy, because the outfit was definitely the main factor that made it impossible for the actor and the stunt double to be recognized. We guess nobody suspected that there was a stuntman at all.
9. Ben Affleck and Rich Cetrone / Triple Frontier
Here is yet another good example of a stunt double who strongly resembles the actor he needs to stand in for. Ben Affleck pays attention to details and he was probably happy with this double.
10. Keanu Reeves and his stunt double / John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum
What could be better than seeing Keanu Reeves in a movie? Well, seeing another one, of course! All jokes aside, the stunt double of the beloved actor looks pretty much like him and all action scenes were perfectly done, too!
