Watching reality TV is very entertaining most of the times, especially when you get to see someone making a complete fool out of himself.
However, there is another side to reality television that is an even bigger pleasure to watch – the moments when people reveal their true feelings for each other and love is all around them.
You could never get enough of such stories, but the question is how many of these relationships actually last in time. It turns out that quite a few of them turn into real-life love stories, and what was shown on TV was just the beginning.
We could all agree that starting a romance on TV with a person you have never met before may be a bit of a gamble, but the following list contains eleven examples that prove it could be worth it.
1. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton
This lovely couple got together in 2014 on ‘The Voice’. Both of them were divorcing their spouses at the time.
Their work as coaches in the TV show brought them close to each other and the rest is history. They really look like the perfect couple.
2. Heidi and Spencer Pratt
The notorious reality TV stars will be remembered for their ability to stir the pot and create some drama. It is safe to say that most people probably though that their relationship would not last, but the couple proved them wrong; they withstood the test of time and as happy as they could possibly be.
3. Trista and Ryan Sutter
The first ‘Bachelorette’ in the show’s history and her husband are one of the longest-lasting examples on this list; they got married 14 years ago on TV and their happiness continues to this day. They have two children from their marriage.
4. Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum
Their relationship began during the seventh season of ‘The Bachelorette’ and the truth is they had ups and downs in their time together, but their marriage proved to be stable and they are the happy parents of a son and a daughter.
5. Amber and Ethan Diamond
Nobody believed that MTV’s reality show ‘Are You the One’ could actually result in a real relationship between any of the contestants, but it did. This couple not only stayed together after they met during the first season of the show, but they are currently expecting their second child.
6. Catherine Giudici and Sean Lowe
Catherine and Sean met during the 17th season of ‘The Bachelor’ and quickly fell in love, becoming one of the favorite couples of Bachelor Nations. They now have plans to grow their family.
7. Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
This couple met on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and the fact that it is not a dating show did not stop them from being together ever since. They spent a lot of time together during the show and all the passion they put into dancing apparently brought them close enough.
8. Molly Malaney and Jason Mesnick
This is a slightly different story, because Jason, who happens to be one of the only two indecisive Bachelors, proposed to Molly and dumped her on live TV after that! However, he managed to convince Molly to give him another chance – and apparently she did. They have been together ever since.
9. Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich
This relationship started about fifteen years ago in ‘Survivor’. One of the memorable contestants from those years – ‘Boston Rob’ – competed with Amber in the ‘All Stars’ season back in 2003. Amber won the season, and Rob was the runner-up, but it looks like they won more than they could ask for – they got married in 2005 and have four children!
10. Allison Holker and Stephen “tWitch” Boss
They found love in the ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ show and now have a beautiful family with two kids.
11. Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert.
This sweet couple fell in love during one of the most beautiful reality TV shows – ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ and their first child was born last year.
