Mistakes are not always noticed, and that is a good thing. No one is perfect all of the time. If there’s anyone in your life who expects you to be perfect, you should probably cut that person out of your life. While perfection is an admirable goal, it is an unattainable one. If you strive for perfection, you might not ever get anything done. Nothing will ever get written. Personally, I have found grammatical errors in famous books and some of the top newspapers in the world. Generally, they are not major mistakes. You just have shrug it off and keep reading.
Certain mistakes, though, are extremely obvious. They can’t be ignored, and you have to wonder how they happened at all.
Here are twelve interesting examples of mistakes that were very obvious and will make you wonder.
1. The Subway Sign

Obviously, this sign should have been taken down. This is no longer a Subway restaurant. This is now a place where trash is collected. This is a big and very obvious mistake.
Frankly, I am surprised that a Subway restaurant closed. I have been to over a dozen Subway restaurants, and all of them were busy—even when you go at three in the afternoon, they have customers. I have also never had a bad sandwich from Subway. The bread is great, and the employees are always nice enough. I have nothing bad to say about the chain.
There are roughly 43,000 Subway restaurants all over the world, so the company is obviously doing pretty much everything right. I don’t need to point that out.
As much as I love Subway, my favorite place in the world to get a sandwich is a convenience store called Wawa. If you don’t live in a certain area of the United States, you might not be familiar with the brand. Wawa stores—some of which sell fuel—can be found in many states, including Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, and Delaware. It is extremely popular in the Philadelphia area.
If you have ever lived around a Wawa, you understand why people love that chain as much as they do. Much like Subway, most Wawa stores are constantly busy. They are also open in the middle of the night, though. If you are hungry at two in the morning, Wawa is there for you. You can get a sandwich or bowl of soup at any time of the day.
2. The Person Who Didn’t Replace the Toilet Paper

It is always a mistake when you don’t have access to toilet paper. That is a bad situation. If someone else is responsible for that situation, you might hate that person for a while. That is a mistake that might not be easily forgiven.
The worst is when there is no toilet paper in the apartment or the house. You should always make sure you have at least one roll in your home. Things can get sort of gross when there is no toilet paper in the home.
I haven’t actually heard any stories of marriages dissolving over toilet paper-related issues, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were out there. People get divorced for pretty petty reasons. I am sure there are many people out there who have gotten divorced because someone started snoring.
3. The Gas Pump

This is a big mistake, and everyone driving on the road noticed it. I wonder what happened to the gas station. Hopefully, nothing too serious occurred. I am pretty sure the owner wasn’t happy.
I would like to say that I wouldn’t be so stupid as to end up in this situation, but I can’t. I am kind of scared of gas stations, honestly. I once got covered in gas because of a pump malfunction; that was a short but scary drive home to shower and toss my clothes in the washing machine.
There’s also a gas station not too far from where I live where I have seen people smoking cigarettes while pumping gas. I am surprised there hasn’t been an explosion. You’re not even supposed to use your mobile phone when you pump gas. I know the risk of anything bad happening is minimal, but it is better to be safe than very sorry.
Anyway, this is a pretty bad mistake; that is a nice looking car, though.
4. The Strange Cake

I have literally no idea what this cake is supposed to be. For some reason, at first glance, I thought it was a rabbit. I think it is because of the teeth. Where did those teeth come from? They look like dentures.
The eyes are creepy, and the nose is creepy.
It might be a hedgehog. Those things in the back sort of look like spines. It could also be a porcupine. I have never seen a pink porcupine, though. This cake is really terrible, but I am guessing it was made with a lot of love.
5. The Sandwich

It is definitely weird to make a sandwich and then stick it back in a bag with the rest of the bread. That is definitely a huge mistake, and it is not one that I would admit to.
Still, it is sort of understandable in its own way. In today’s society, it is easy to get distracted; depending on how you feel, it isn’t always easy to multitask.
I have made my own share of mistakes in the kitchen, and they’re almost as embarrassing. For example, not too long ago, I got hungry and decided to heat up some soup in the microwave. I got a phone call, and then I had to respond to a couple of emails, and then I got another phone call. It should be noted that my friends and family members are pretty loquacious people.
Anyway, about two hours later I was still hungry, so I opened another can of soup and went to heat it up, having completely forgotten I had already microwaved soup. I wasn’t too happy with myself. I wasn’t going to waste soup, though, so I ate both bowls; they were delicious.
6. The Cat and the Lipstick

In this case, it was an animal who made a big mistake. I did not realize they liked to play with makeup. Was it just hungry and looking for food?
I know that small children like to play with their parents’ makeup, and the results are usually a disaster. Children just do not know how to apply the stuff.
I feel sort of bad for this animal. It does not look pleased. I wonder how long it took to get that thing clean.
7. The Incredibles

These are terrible. Anyone who has ever seen the 2004 film “The Incredibles”, or the sequel that came out this year, knows that.
“The Incredibles” was a very well received film—pretty much every critic loved it. It won two Academy Awards. That considered, it is almost hard to believe it took over a decade for a sequel to be released. Several well-known actors, including Craig T. Nelson, provided voices for the animated movie. Craig T. Nelson, of course, is known for starring on the sitcom “Coach”. He was also a star of the series “Parenthood”.
There were several video games based on “The Incredibles” film shortly after it came out. They were released for several systems, including the XBOX and the Gameboy Advance. Recently, there was another video game released based on the franchise. In came out for current systems, including the Nintendo Switch.
8. The Shoe

I am not sure what is worse. Wearing a fast food container on your foot is not the classiest thing in the world. That is one of those things you only do if you are really desperate. I don’t really know what good a fast food container would do, honestly, when walking down the street or through a shopping center.
On the other hand, French fries are pretty cheap. The shoes in this image are not cheap. Who spends more than $500 on red leather shoes? I couldn’t imagine walking down the street in those things. I am sure that I would be made fun of by everyone who saw me.
I can’t understand spending $500 on shoes no matter how stylish they are, frankly. It isn’t like those things last forever. Spending that much money on a pair of shoes is a mistake.
9. The Toilet Paper and the Shredder

This couldn’t have been an accident. Nobody brings a shredder into a bathroom. Anybody who does that needs professional help.
Why would anyone shred toilet paper? I understand shredding bank statements and papers you get from the government; there is a lot of personal information on such documents that you don’t want falling into the wrong hands.
Toilet paper is pretty innocuous stuff, however. You wouldn’t want to live in a world without toilet paper. I am sure that I wouldn’t. Toilet paper, as far as I am concerned, is one of the greatest inventions of all time.
10. The Truck

Loading a truck in such a fashion is definitely a pretty obvious mistake. I just hope it wasn’t a mistake with fatal consequences.
If you load a truck like this, the best case scenario is that you end up at your destination with all of your stuff. In this case, I don’t really see that happening. There is just way too much stuff. I just hope nothing fell off the truck and caused a bad accident. I would rather pull over to the side of the road before I drove behind this thing. I am surprised this setup is legal.
11. The Parking Spot

While I can’t imagine this little arrangement is perfectly legal, I sincerely hope the owner of this vehicle didn’t get a ticket from law enforcement. It isn’t like the car is preventing the flow of traffic or anything of the sort. Really, you have to give the driver credit for his or her creativity.
In the United States, where fuel is at least relatively cheap, people love buying enormous cars. I understand the need for large vehicles if you have a big family or you regularly haul around a lot of stuff. However, there are a lot of people out there who have giant vehicles just for the sake of having them. It is a status symbol thing. I don’t understand that.
I have a car most Americans would consider on the smaller side. It isn’t a tiny car or low to the ground—like the car in this image. My car is actually quite comfortable to sit in, which is the reason I bought that particular model. It is just smaller than the average sedan. It isn’t narrower, but it is quite a bit shorter.
I couldn’t be happier with it, frankly. I don’t have to parallel park often, fortunately; when I do, however, its size makes the whole experience a lot easier. It isn’t that I am bad at parallel parking, but sometimes you are expected to squeeze your car into a space that is just a little too small. In certain parts of the city, parking can be sort of hard to come by.
Also, I save a small fortune at the gas pump.
