Everyone has problems. A lot of people, however, choose to ignore those problems.

There is a lot to be said for burying one’s head in the sand. In the long run, it is better to deal with one’s problems. In the short run, though, it is a lot more fun when you try to just ignore them. Life is short, after all, and life should not be a miserable experience.

Life typically is, of course, sort of awful; unless you get lucky and die in your sleep with your soulmate sleeping peacefully next to you, your life will likely turn out to be sort of terrible towards the end.

If you want to enjoy the life you have, you may want to consider ignoring your problems. Maybe you should just make the choice to not notice those problems.

Here are fifteen examples of people who experienced pretty obvious problems that really could not be ignored for long. Hopefully, things turned out okay in the end.

1. The Portable Toilets

I am guessing that the people who were using these portable toilets made a choice to ignore a problem. I can’t imagine why certain toilets are “pee only”. That seems weird. No one is going to follow that rule. Also, the people who had to clean these portable toilets definitely had a problem. Anyone who has to clean a portable toilet has a major problem, and it can’t be ignored. That must be one of the worst jobs on the planet. Most people don’t like cleaning their own toilet.

2. The People Playing the Games

I hope the people in this image are currently safe. Eventually, they could have drowned. How did they not notice what was going on? That’s kind of disturbing.

It is easy to get absorbed by games, though, especially MMORPGs. Games like “World of Warcraft” and “The Elder Scrolls Online” are pretty easy to get addicted to, and they are also a lot of fun.

“World of Warcraft”, in particular, is a pretty impressive game. It is not as popular as it used to be, but a lot of people have been playing it since 2004. There are still millions of subscribers. The game has grossed over $9 billion in revenue, making it one of the more successful games of all time.

3. The Woman and the Shark

There is no way this woman is in any danger. Still, it looks pretty cool. If you have to die, being eaten by a shark is a cool way to go.

If the woman was being eaten by a shark, she would have definitely been in a problematic situation.

A lot of people are genuinely terrified of sharks, but they probably shouldn’t be. There are only a few fatal shark attacks every year, after all. Most people are afraid of sharks because of movies, including “Jaws”. That movie, which came out in 1975, is considered one of the greatest films ever made and was the highest-grossing film of all time for a couple of years. While there were three sequels to the film, none of them were nearly as successful as the original.

4. The Car That Melted

Anyone who was outside in Arizona on the day this picture was taken definitely had a problem. They might not have known it, but they did. If the sun was so strong it could do that to a car, it probably did a lot of damage to human skin. Hopefully, anyone who was outside made an appointment with a dermatologist and got checked for signs of skin cancer. Most cases of skin cancer, after all, are caused by exposure to ultraviolet radiation.

Worldwide, skin cancer is actually the most common form of cancer; millions are impacted every year. Tens of thousands of people die from skin cancer every year. One of the best ways to avoid getting skin cancer is the use of sunscreen. Protective clothing—including hats and sunglasses—also helps.

You really have to wonder—after looking at that picture—just how high the temperature got that day. I was unaware cars could melt. The owners of the cars must have been pretty ticked off. Do most insurance plans cover melting? I can’t say I have ever had the reason to check into that.

The people who owned these cars definitely had problems. The fact of the matter is that they parked near a fire, but isn’t it more fun to think that the sun in Arizona is just insanely strong?

5. The McDonald’s and the Ice

I was unaware that McDonald’s sold ice by the bag. I have never had the option to purchase a bag of ice at McDonald’s. Maybe it is a regional thing.

The McDonald’s did not do a great job with the sign, though. This is an example of poor advertising. No one wants to think about mice while in a place that serves food. The employees of this McDonald’s have a problem.

In case you are wondering, the comment at the bottom about being able to get a lot of mice for one dollar is referencing the hit situational comedy “Arrested Development”. If you are not familiar with it, the show first aired in 2003. It ended after three seasons—for a while, anyway. A fourth season was released in 2013 on Netflix. The first part of a fifth season was released in May of this year. The second half of the fifth season should be released later this year.

6. The Bugs and the Car

If your car is literally covered with bugs, you have a major problem. This is a disgusting image. Can you imagine coming out to your car at the end of a long day and seeing such a sight? Why are the insects so very attracted to this particular car? Was it covered in a substance that attracts insects? Is there a type of bug that really likes Ford vehicles?

There’s nothing wrong with Ford vehicles, of course. The Ford Motor Company, which has its headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, has been making vehicles for well over 100 years. It makes millions of automobiles every year and employs thousands of people.

7. The Seagull and the Lady

In this case, the seagull definitely has a problem. If someone’s hand is wrapped around your neck and you are being choked, chances are you have a problem.

What prompted this act of aggression towards a seagull? That’s a very good question, and I can only speculate. Seagulls are sort of irritating creatures, I suppose. The noises they make are certainly quite irritating. They certainly can be obnoxious when you are at the beach and trying to have a nice, peaceful lunch.

They’re interesting creatures, though. Gulls can actually be found on every continent, including Antarctica, which is impressive. Certain types of gulls live for quite a long time—sometimes over forty years. They are also monogamous creatures. Gull pairs may split up from time to time, true, but it is rare, which is more than you can say for human pairings.

8. The Baby and the Ninja Turtle

Someone in this picture has a problem. I am not sure if it is the baby or the parents. The Ninja Turtle, clearly, doesn’t have a problem he can’t solve. As Ninja Turtles are generally benevolent creatures, the baby will probably be fine.

The baby’s parents, however, won’t be fine in 12 or so years when their kid sees this picture and calls them both giant dorks.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who are named after famous artists, have been entertaining kids and adults since 1984. They were extremely popular in the 1980s and the 1990s. In addition to starring in comic books, movies, and television shows, they have also appeared in a number of video games. The first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1987. Considering it was designed for small children, it was surprisingly difficult. A lot of video games back then were insanely hard. Kids today don’t even know how frustrating they could be.

9. The Car and the Rain

It is really important to make sure your car windows are up after you get out of your car. You never know when it might rain. The person who owns this car definitely has a problem, and it is a problem that could have been easily avoided.

You do not want the interior of your car to get wet. For one thing, the smell can be terrible. Managing the whole situation tends to be a giant pain in the rear. People really tend to underestimate the damage water can do to a vehicle or a home.

10. The People With the Cans

For reasons that are not clear, all of the labels have been removed from these cans. I’m guessing a small child is to blame, but I can’t be sure.

Actually, in this case, the parent is to blame. If your kid is so bored that he or she removes labels from cans for entertainment purposes, then you need to buy him or her proper toys.

11. The Kitty and the Clothes

Animals like to steal things. This image seems sort of unbelievable, true, but anyone who has ever owned a pet knows it is possible. Animals like to steal your stuff. Pets can be pretty passive aggressive.

12. The Truck and the Power Lines

How this truck ended up where it did makes no sense. I suppose the truck could have fallen out of a plane? I don’t know why a truck would be on a plane, though. Then again, there was an entire movie about snakes on a plane. Maybe a sequel to that movie is being filmed? I would be surprised, as “Snakes on a Plane” did not do so well at the box office, but I think it is fair to say that Hollywood has run out of ideas.

Chances are, the person driving this truck had a major problem. I hope he or she is still alive.

13. The Happy Family That Isn’t Happy

This is definitely sad. This family clearly has a problem. The mother and child appear well, but one person—in my opinion—kind of looks like a tree with stumpy limbs. That’s not a good look on anyone. Actually, that person really does look like Groot.

In case you are wondering, Groot is a tree-like superhero who has actually been around since 1960. The character was recently featured in “Avengers: Infinity War”, which came out earlier this year. Groot has definitely become a pretty popular superhero in the last few years. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, he is voiced by Vin Diesel.
