We all must admit that times change for all of us, mainly due to the fact we change. As the years go by, we grow up and pass through the teenage stage before we enter adulthood. Even when that happens, changes continue to show their effect. For better or for worse, we accept some of them, but we refuse others. Whatever the case might be, there is one universal truth. Kids hardly respect or pay attention to the feelings of adults, and this is what the list below is all about. Most of the posts on it are highly relatable to all grown-ups out there.
1. The Father’s Day
We love this day because it is meant to honor the father figure that deserves all the respect. Still, many people choose to not celebrate it, or they think that they are not worthy of receiving a gift on this day, for example. We believe that some people would relate to this tweet as well. It shows how one kid decided to be very strict about this day, and had a practical reason for not getting her father a gift. This is something you cannot argue about.
2. The son
There are no better ways to express your happiness of having a kid that looks exactly like you and behaves in a similar fashion than telling to the whole world that they always remind you of yourself, but that is a thing that could backfire massively. As you can see, this father decided to do exactly that, but got an unexpected response that we believe was very sarcastic, but still quite offensive.
3. The argument
It seems that some kids, no matter young they might be, are able to to literally laugh in the faces of their parents due to some arguments between them, and this tweet shows what we mean. This kid was smart enough to realize that this argument could potentially become something far worse – a divorce. Such a result could ultimately lead to the kid enjoying two Christmases, due to having two separate families. Imagine having your kid think about that.
4. The birthday
There are many situations in which some kids seem to be way too honest and direct about their thoughts and feelings than they should, and this tweet is one perfect example of that. The things these kids can say or do are sometimes too much to handle, which is why we shared this postcard. As you can see, this is the last thing a father would like to receive from his offspring for his birthday, but the kid probably saw nothing wrong with this idea.
5. The comment
Some people like to share their thoughts and the way they feel because they either seek attention, compassion, or approval. In this case, a dad felt like he ate too much for one day, and he immediately regretted sharing this. The reason is obvious. There is no doubt that he expected something in particular, and maybe even understanding. We guess that the kid probably had a point, but that doesn’t mean that such a comment had to be made.
6. The mistakes
Now, this is what we call a savage conversation that could serve as a textbook example of what it means to roast someone. This parent surely had no idea that the conversation was going to escalate so quickly, but it did, and there was nothing that could be done after that. The kid decided to be painfully honest about something that the mother probably had no idea she did wrong. This is what it means to neglect one’s feelings, and we believe the mother regretted the conversation.
7. The dressed kid
There is one universal rule when it comes to talking with kids in their pre-teen years, and many parents are aware of that, we believe. The rule is simple: never provoke your kid to tell you the things you would probably not like to hear, but this parent did exactly that, unintentionally, of course. As you can see, the kid decided to give her mother a hard time and acted in a manner that was anything but flattering. It appears that kids out there can be brutal when they want to.
8. The kisses
Mothers and fathers out there love spending time with their kids, and they usually smother them with their love. This is only natural, as hugging and kissing your kids is one of the joys that only the blessed among us have. Still, it could sometimes turn into a different experience, and you can see that this situation literally backfired. The parent was hoping to get a huge random number as a response, but the result was not what they expected it to be.
9. The movie character
It seems that people who love compliments are the majority among us, which is only natural. We like compliments as well, and they usually make us feel good and boost our mood, not to mention the rise in confidence we experience, but there is a catch. The compliment must be something explained well, with no hidden meaning, and you can see why this is important. Being declared as someone worthy of a Disney movie is not always a good thing, and you can clearly see that.
10. The offense
There are many things related to parenting that need to be explained and shared by everyone, as they could be used by both parents and people who intend to have a kid in the near future. It appears that this is one post that could serve as something close to a warning about the downsides of parenthood, and you can see why. This kid decided to express just how much they disliked their father dancing, and that is one disrespectful way of doing it, too.
11. The apology
Apologies always matter even if they are late, but this is not what is the important thing here. There are moments that can make a person regret they demanded an apology, but this situation is slightly different. As you can see, this kid decided t apologize without being asked to do it, but decided that it should be just as short as it was honest. Seeing it made us cringe, and we cannot imagine how the mother must have felt. There are no words to explain this kind of honesty.
12. The fossil
Having a sense of humor is always nice, but there are moments when you should probably never joke about certain things, as they might turn out to be way too offensive than you have thought. As you can see here, there are moments when the most innocent joke could turn into an insult that could have a deep impact. Of course, those who have an equal sense of humor would probably not get offended and evaluate the quality of humor and sarcasm used instead.
13. The profile name
We understand that kids today are different than the time we were kids, as times have changed quite a lot. Today’s kids can do all kinds of things from an early age that were unthinkable back in the day, and changing a Netflix password is one of the simplest possible ones today’s kids are capable of. There are moments when people would probably have a hard time coping with the things their kids do, and this was surely one such moment.
14. The kids
Here is how the difference between generations became so visible that it was almost offensive for one person. When this girl used to babysit some kids, she told them that she loved one famous animated movie, and the kids were baffled by her preferences. They genuinely thought that this piece of animated movie history was so old that it was black and white, and that is just hilarious to see.
