There are people who are addicted to garage sales and for good reason! As you can see in the list below, there are more than a few interesting things people could come across. We are always curious to see such treasures and we are glad people share them for us to admire.
1. The Teddy bear
We are convinced that Teddy bears are the most popular toy in the world alongside dolls, trains, and car models. It appears that those who like these plush cuties would be puzzled to see this particular one, as it has nothing in common with ordinary bears. The tiny face is disturbing.
2. The Value Village find
Here is what people can find at these events with a bit of luck. This thing appears to be a weird variation of an ouija board and we have never seen such an item before. The package even has the original price tag and has never been unwrapped.
3. The picture
Pictures that people prefer to decorate their homes with are usually not random frames but memories they cherish or portraits of people they love. It seems that someone had a rather special moment to cherish and it somehow reached a garage sale stand.
4. The shirt
Apart from toys, collectibles, and appliances, garage sales are the perfect place to find decent clothing. As you can see, some lucky person was able to discover a rather curious shirt. If features a pattern that we have no explanation about and we guess it was designed for a purpose.
5. The item
We have seen tens of thousands of funny images in the past decade but some of the best ones included this face. Now, when it comes to 3D objects, we have never thought that we would see this exact face sculpted on a stand.
6. The book
Sometimes, the things people find at garage sales are more than creepy and this book is a fine example of that. What is worse is that someone actually decided to write and publish it, and we really hope the author’s name is a pseudonym and not a real family name.
7. The odd pictureÂ
There are pictures that nobody could explain and we are certain that there is a story behind this one that we would never know. What is curious is that incorporates Jesus’ image and baseball – this is surely the key to figuring out this image.
8. The proposalÂ
Here is yet another example of a curious garage sale find. This item was donated to Goodwill for some reason and we cannot believe that it did not remain a cherished memory but there was probably a story about why it ended up there.
9. The device
Garage sales and secondhand stores are sources of hidden treasures but these treasures are sometimes not the appropriate things one would expect. We all know what this is and we hope that the person who took the picture washed their hand after that.
10. The hat
Well, we sometimes believe we have seen it all but this item proved us wrong. It seems that someone was witty enough to create a tinfoil hat as a cat product and launched it on the market. We have never seen such an accessory and we hope it was some kind of a joke.
11. The figurines
Collectors usually love curious and creepy stuff but here are boundaries that even the most eccentric among them would not cross. This set of figurines is definitely the most insane we have ever seen and it may actually have a history and a deep meaning but it is scary to us.
12. The paintingÂ
Some artists have a particular vision and they do their best to recreate it in the best possible way. In this case, the author of this painting surely had something in particular to express but we guess that few people would be willing to install this in their bathroom.
13. The report
Since we are talking about curious and unexplainable items that one would hardly prefer to hang in their bathroom, this is an item that deserves some attention. The person who found it is actually all about the idea of decorating their bathroom with it.
14. The dog
Of all the weird items you can find at garage sales, this must be the most absurd one. As you can see, it is a dog figurine made out of cabbage. Someone took their time and handcrafted this rather curious thing for no apparent reason and we think that it is a one-off item.
15. The jar
Do you remember the classic Tickle Me Elmo toy? Sesame Street will forever remain an all-time classic and we are sure that many of us remember it while missing it, too. Elmo was one of the favorite characters and this person was obviously a fan because they created a jar to celebrate Elmo’s image.
16. The coats
Now, this is something special. As you can see, the simple explanation behind this item is written on top of it. Someone named Pete was able to lay 5,000 layers of paint and we can all see how thick they were. It took a lot of hard work, we guess, but it is also a one-off item for sure.
