As consumers and shoppers, we all know what it feels like to bring home or to receive bad goods. You know, the kind of situation in which we receive wrong, broken, or rotten items or products. Naturally, we usually make an attempt to return said goods but we sometimes encounter problems. In other cases, the problems are mostly for the vendors, as shoppers sometimes try to return some insane things. Walmart is the place that has the most such stories and the list below shows some of them.
1. The firestick
Well, we can all see what went wrong here. It does not take a long time for us to realize that this item cannot be returned to Walmart simply because it was not purchased there in the first place. We guess the person tried their luck.
2. The pastry
There are numerous ways in which people could file a complaint about some product. In his case, the person simply wanted their cash back. The reason for the return was hilarious – they stated that the product did not work. Pastries are not supposed to work.
3. The phone
It appears that people are never too shy to ask for a refund even after they don’t have a reason to do it. We guess that they even have the audacity to do it after years have passed since the original purchase. In this case, a client wanted to return a six-year-old phone. Imagine that!
4. The press-on nails
We think that situations in which people tried to return insane things will always surprise us. The one you see here is probably the most baffling one of them all. A woman tried to return a set of press-on nails that were still on her fingers. She got a refund and kept them.
5. The items
Well, there you have it – someone tried to return shirts bought from K-mart to a Walmart shop. This is the kind of thing that nobody could believe but it reportedly happened. Imagine how the staff of this store reacted upon this attempted return.
6. The air freshener
There are many things people use as an excuse to return certain items. In this case, the excuse was surely one of the most baffling ones Walmart personnel had seen. A client complaint that an air freshener that was supposed to smell good for 30 days stopped doing it on the 29th day.
7. The complaint
We guess that some people have no idea about the products they buy and they also try to use some of their actual features as the reason they are not happy about the said products. As you can see, the note containing the client complaint is shown next to the product.
8. The pair
People have no shame or remorse when they try to return items like the ones you see here. Reportedly, such items are mostly returned after Valentine’s Day for obvious reasons. Of course, they are used in the majority of cases.
9. The vacuum
It appears that some people either miss the concept of returning things and the conditions under which such a thing is possible or they simply don’t care about that. In this case, someone tried to return a heavily used vacuum cleaner similar to this one which is absurd.
10. The gallon of milk
There is not much we could say about this because you can see what is wrong with it. The question is, why would someone leave a jug of milk to sit for a long time and why would they try to return it to a store that they did not even buy it from?
11. The rocks
These are not the rocks related to the story we are about to share but we don’t have the original ones pictured. Someone wanted a refund on boxes of electronic devices but they put rocks instead of actual electronics. Needless to say, their plan did not work as expected.
12. The returns
When it comes to returns, store employees have a pretty good idea about the items that are returned every season. For example, they know that people would return air conditioners when the summer ends and heaters when spring comes.
13. The liver
This is a nice example of how crazy returns the people behind Walmart’s counters need to deal with. It seems that wanting to return liver and other meat after it has already gone bad is not a good idea and nobody should do that.
14. The chicken strip
We know that this is not an actual attempt for someone to return a product and ask for a refund but we just had to include it. As you can see, someone ate a chicken strip, or half of it, at least. Then, they tossed it on this shelf as if nothing happened.
15. The produce
Believe it or not, someone actually tried to return some produce that looked like this. The client insisted it was too ripe and they denied tasting it, too. You can see it is taped together!
16. The used underwear
As we already mentioned, people sometimes have no shame and they would do anything to get their money back. In this case, one person tried to return used underwear.
