It is one thing to fix something as you should, but it is a completely different story when you decide to use your DIY skills and perform a fast repair that ends up being permanent. We have all seen this happen, and we have always wanted to express just how important it is for someone to understand what they are doing. There is no other way for someone to be sure that they have solved a problem. In many cases, people wish they’d hire someone to do the job properly instead of applying a DIY approach.
1. The forklift
They say that every problem has a solution, and we know that some individuals get wildly creative when they need to prove they can think outside the box. As you can see, these workers did the impossible to get the job done, and we salute them for it, despite the fact it is a dangerous stunt to pull off.
2. The car
Towing a car is not legal in some locations, and calling for specialized transportation is very expensive. This is why some people take matters into their own hands and do what they think it takes to get the job done. It appears that some of their solutions are not safe at all, including this one.
3. The ladder
We know that having the right equipment is key when you want to fix something or start a project. There are people who would do anything to have the tools they need, while others would rely on their own makeshift solutions. In this case, one person risked an injury to get the job done, and we do not approve.
4. The door lock
There are many moments when we witness something that is just crazy enough to work, and we think that this is one great example of that. As you can see, a simple car belt mechanism was the perfect addition to a garden fence gate, and we guess it works like a charm, despite not being that gorgeous.
5. The tailgate
There is nothing wrong with this image at first. The focus is on a truck that has seen better days, but nothing more to it, or so it seems. After taking a good look at it, you will notice that there is something wrong with its tailgate. It is made from wood and then color-coded to match the paint.
6. The setup
Bikers know how hard it is for them to enjoy their bikes in winter, as the cold temperatures and winds make it impossible for them to ride. In this picture, you see how one person tried to tackle the problem using duct tape and huge gloves. We guess it works, but it does not look safe.
7. The bumper
We know automotive shops charge a lot of money for auto body repairs, but they are a must sometimes. Driving around and having issues with the bodywork is almost impossible. This person had a problem with the rear bumper, but this fix is obviously not the most elegant solution.
8. The AC
The biggest issues with an external AC unit is the condensation dripping from it during most of the time it is operational. This can be a huge problem, so people try to avoid this condensation dripping down at all costs. It seems that they are in a rush while doing it sometimes, as seen here.

The skates you see here were designed in a hurry for someone to be able to skate despite having a bad ankle. It appears that this is a great idea at first, but you can see that skating in these would require a lot of focus, otherwise, it might end up in a disaster.
10. The hinge
This is one hinge that has seen better days, but we know that it is also operational, judging by the picture. As you can see, it barely holds together, not to mention how rusty it is. But the biggest problem shown here is the pin it is secured with. It is a matchstick!
11. The can
This is one of the most peculiar attempts are repairing a vehicle we have ever seen. It appears that the people who did this were in a rush to fix it, or they were low on their budget. In either scenario, we find it to be something that should have never happened.
12. The door stopper
We know that many people are keen on having all the tiny and neat interior details they could find, but they sometimes resort to drastic measures when they need to add functionality to their homes. In this case, someone decided not to spend money on a doorstop, and this was the result.
13. The quick fix
There are numerous people out there who understand that overheating is an issue for a PC that is used extensively, and something needs to be done as soon as the problem is diagnosed. Still, it is an issue that needs to be handled with care, not like the quick fix someone applied here.
14. The filter
There are moments when we think that some people just might have found an alternative solution to the problems we all face on a daily basis. We know how hard it is for us to find the best vacuum cleaner filter out there, but this person decided to have a substitute – a medical mask.
15. The cable
We all use chargers, and we need them in our lives. We charge all kinds of devices – mobile phones, different utilities, computers, and many more things we use daily. Still, some people never realize when they need to replace their old chargers, and this is how they try to prolong their life cycle.
16. The toilet
It has been quite a while since we have been in a toilet such as this one. We know that people are not that interested in the public restrooms they use, but we would have stared in awe if we happened to walk inside this place. The pulling devices is not one you would expect.
17. The swing
Now, this is something we would approve of the moment we saw it, because it looks awesome, despite being a DIY project. This is how a swing made out of a shopping cart looks like, and we guess that it might be crazy enough of an idea to work as it should.
18. The scooter
We understand that some people love their rides so much that they would never abandon them, even if they need a lot of repairs. In this case, one person tried to fix their scooter to keep it roadworthy, and you can see it barely holds together. We hope it gets fixed properly soon.
19. The laptop
This is surely the craziest laptop setup we have ever seen, and we need to admit is a wild form of DIY engineering. Still, the thing that baffled us the most here is the fact it apparently works, meaning that the person who created it knew what they were doing.
20. The lights
It is fair to say that some people are not the household masters they think they are when it comes to repairs and adding new features. Christmas lights are a must during the holiday season, and some people have trouble with such devices. This person thought the problem was fixed, but it is not how to do it properly, to say the least.
