The things we see every day and accept as common can sometimes surprise us in a way we have never expected. We know that there are hardly things that could surprise us, but we need to admit that we have been baffled by items and experiences that we never saw coming our way. The list below is dedicated to things that are ordinary, but offer more than meets the eye at first. The images featured are random, but they all have something in common: they are curious and fun to see.
1. The bath
No, this is not an image taken in the middle of the North Sea. This is the bath of the person who took the image. It seems that the uncanny resemblance to ice floating in the middle of the sea is due to the odd shape of the foam on its surface. We guess that is a rare sight to see.
2. The root
Here is yet another image showing something that looks quite ordinary. As you can see, it is merely a tree with rather large roots, and this is the area where you need to look twice. The curious thing about it is the shape of the root. It looks exactly like the head on an alligator, and we like it.
3. The wet area
Train stations are not the cleanest places to be, and there is some nasty area to see in almost every such location. In this case, however, the curious bit was caused by moisture. The drain that leaked all over this wall created a perfect human silhouette, and it looks kind of creepy, to be honest.
4. The light
Interior lighting is very important and designers all over the world choose various effects to make their designs as awesome as possible. We know that some of their projects are very complicated, but other lighting effects are created by chance, which is the case here. The wall looks amazing, to say the least.
5. The tree
There are moments when even the most common things can surprise us, and this is what happened here. A tree in the middle of a hill looks like a popular comic and movie character. Yes, this is correct – the tree looks like Godzilla, and we can see the resemblance.
6. The chair
No, this chair does not resemble something particular, but there is something even more unusual about it. The condition of this piece of furniture is something remarkable. The 1964 model looks like a brand new chair. It was famous for its name – the lazy boy – it got for its reclining function.
7. The crab
People love decorating their homes for Christmas, but some folks are very keen on the smallest details that only a handful of guests would notice. As you can see, this handcrafted hat on a crab seems to be an odd idea, but we like how it looks and it probably completes the rest of the house decoration.
8. The flower
Nature works in mysterious ways, and there is no doubt in our minds that some people are capable of seeing and feeling this like nobody else. We know that this is not much, but a frozen flower that has just bloomed is not something we see every day, and it looks amazing, just like a work of art.
9. The controller
Those who are keen on playing games know how different each title is, and there are players who choose their equipment based on the type of gameplay. In this case, the controller was very worn in one particular place – the running forward control button. This is the result of countless hours well spent.
10. The apple
Apples come in all shapes and sizes, but they are mostly in one particular color or pattern. As you can see, this is one unusual piece of fruit because it was divided into two sections by nature. One half is red, and the other is yellow, which makes the apple unique.
11. The teapot
There is nothing like a vintage piece of decoration for your home. We understand that some people prefer the kind of things that are unique, and this is a piece that is probably a one-off. We know that avid collectors would love this piece as much as we liked it.
12. The filet
Product design is very important because it shows how a manufacturer cares for its products and clients by making sure they have a winning solution and a happy customer base. In this case, one packaging proved to have variations that are odd. The font size is very different in size.
13. The car
Several individuals never fail to be just a face in the crowd and they do what it takes to stand out from the rest, regardless of the cost. It appears this person made this possible thanks to their chosen means of transportation. This unusual vehicle is awesome, and it looks as if it came straight out of a movie.
14. The shoes
We have all seen shoes that were too worn out to be used again. This is one image that reveals a similar pair, but this thing about these shoes that makes them interesting requires a second look. The wear on them reveals the exact shape of their owner’s arches.
15. The caution sign
We have all seen these signs literally everywhere. You need to be careful while you walk past one, as it is surely placed because of a hazard, but some people neglect these warnings. In this case, the sign is not an ordinary one, because it has wheels.
16. The rock
This rock is very different, and there is one very good reason for that. As you can see, there is a crevice in the middle of the rock, but it was not created by nature. The rock is actually a cast of a dinosaur bone, and we have never seen such a thing before.
17. The vanilla pod
This is one awesome thing to see, and we are not sure if we would ever see it again. As the image suggests, this vanilla pod had turned blue in its end, and there is a good reason for that. The addition of alcohol did the trick, and we guess it is merely chemistry.
18. The water
This is how the water on a US ship looked like for a while. Someone took this image when they poured the water and was surprised to see its color. The reason was the leak detection dye someone poured into the system to check for possible leaks.
19. The colors
This is one of the best comparisons between old and new things. We know that most people would wear their items until they are no longer usable, but sometimes the wear and tear is barely visible. As you can see, the used iPod is paler than the new one.
