We all love a good snack when we are hungry. There are many options to choose from: you can have a burger, a slice of pizza, some chocolate, or potato chips. While this sounds good, you need to be warned that you may actually regret your choice. Having strong cravings for a certain type of food could end up in disappointment and the images below suggest why that happens. People are attracted to a certain type of food but they often realize it wasn’t as good as it looked like. Sometimes, the problem is the quantity, as the food could turn out to be a lot less than expected. Bottom line is, food disappointment is the worst kind of them all!
1. The fruit content
It appears that companies that strive to have the biggest success need to be completely honest with their clients. This is not the case here. As you can see, the fruit content in this juice box is merely 27% while the packaging suggests that the product is 100% juice. This is definitely not the kind of beverage the client would expect when buying the product.
2. The comparison
Here is yet another moment of disappointment someone decided to share. There are many products out there that are often seen in promotional packages. This is the case here but there is something that does not add up. You can see that both packages are identical in size and shape but one of them suggests that it is bigger than the rest.
3. The cookie
There is no doubt that people who prefer to eat gluten-free food are becoming more as we speak. Needless to say, some of them are following a trend but the majority of people who don’t eat gluten are actually doing it because of their health. In this case, someone probably made a mistake when they decided to advertise this cookie as gluten-free.
4. The fries
Here is a picture that made us feel confused. Most of you have probably tried Arby’s before and we love the fries but we guess that this image is really wrong in more ways than one. The quantity in the bigger portion is obviously the same as the medium one but the price is different.
5. The ice cream
There is nothing like some ice cream on a hot day. Better yet, you might even be able to get your favorite type instead of just any ice cream. This person was happy to find the panda-shaped ice cream on a stick but it wasn’t the popsicle they hoped for – you can see what’s inside of it.
6. The scoops
Food packaging is often deceiving because it makes people fall for clever advertising instead of the advantages of the actual product. In this case, we are talking about something unacceptable: you can see that this container doesn’t hold two scoops of raisins at all. This is just not the way to go, is it?
7. The beef ravioli
It appears that people rely on the honesty of food manufacturers which is the wrong tactic. What consumers need to do is check the feedback of the producer before buying their product. We guess that the company responsible for this product should not have a good rating.
8. The jumbo shrimps
There are always products that fans would prefer over the competition but there are also products that clients would never buy once they realize how fake they are. These jumbo shrimps appear to be falling into the second category.
9. The pizza
Most people love pepperoni pizza because of the unique taste of the Italian salami. Still, there are rules that pizza makers need to follow when they make their pizzas. The main rule is to always put as many toppings they could because that is what all the pizza lovers out there would want.
10. The carton
There are moments in life when we all wish things were easier and trying to open a carton like this is such a moment. As you can see, someone tried really hard to open this one but it proved to be impossible. This is why the “open here” lettering should never be placed there.
11. The company
It seems odd to see that many people spend an hour shopping while we get it done in ten minutes. Still, there is a good reason why people spend that much time. They read the labels because they are tired of being deceived all the time. This image shows how deceiving some products can be.
12. The watermelon
Sometimes, the obvious difference between a product and the label is enough to stop you from buying that said product. This is exactly the case here. Why would anyone advertise this watermelon as seedless while it is obvious that it has seeds in it?
13. The calcium
Now, this is another level in product marketing when it comes to deceiving customers. This chocolate syrup was advertised as full of vitamins and minerals, more particularly – calcium. As you can see from the data label, there is no calcium inside this bottle at all. You can see that this is just not right.
14. The loaf of bread
We all love bread but most people know they need to control themselves if they don’t want to gain weight fast. This is berry bread which makes things even worse, as we would love to try it. This particular loaf, however, has nothing in common with the image in the advertisement.
15. The lemon
It doesn’t take a marketing tactic for a food disappointment to happen. You can see that nature has its own way of trying to make us fall for its tricks. This lemon surely disappointed the person who wanted to eat it.
16. The slice of pizza
As we already mentioned, pizza is sacred and those who have felt pizza disappointment know how bad that feels. This person sat down to eat the pizza they bought but you can understand their frustration after opening the box.
17. The strawberry ice cream
Here is yet another example of a person who wanted to enjoy their ice cream but was left with a huge disappointment instead. You can see the reason: this ice cream has nothing in common with the real product.
18. The chocolate Santa
We guess that Christmas treats are the best kind and everyone loves them, both young and old. As you can see, someone wanted to enjoy the details of this chocolate Santa. The image reveals why this was related to a major disappointment. There are no details at all.
19. The bigger size
There is no doubt that a whole lot of effort goes into the design of a package. Still, this effort may go to waste if there is some kind of deceit related. We will let you be the judge here but the difference in the size is obvious.
20. The chocolate bar
This is another fine example of the frustration one could feel after buying a treat. This chocolate bar probably looked tempting while still in the wrapper but it is different when it is out of it.
