We are used to seeing all kinds of things, and we sometimes think we have seen it all. Still, every time we browse the web, we realize we have yet to see everything. In fact, nobody would be able to see it all in their lifetime, and we guess that this is a good thing. Think about it: when you see it all, there will nothing else to fascinate you, and this is not the life we would like to live. Still, we need to admit that some of the things we see are amusing, but they are also intimidating or just plain weird. In fact, some images we randomly come across are kind of strange, and they could send shivers down our spines for seemingly no reason. The list below is dedicated to such images, and all 20 of them are curious, yet they could make you a bit paranoid.
1. The hands
What you see here is a picture taken in one of the most beautiful places on Earth: Venice. The beauty of this place is unprecedented, but you can see that not everything about it is as elegant as you could expect. This facade is somewhat strange, but we guess that looking at these giant hands all day long is not our cup of tea.
2. The cat
If you are anything like us, you surely took a second and a third look at this peculiar image. We can all see what is wrong with it – there is a giant cat lurking behind the front door, or is it? In fact, this is a scale model of a house, and the cat is just being curious. Still, the image is weird to see.
3. The oranges
We envy people who are able to grow citrus trees at home, as we have never managed to successfully grow one. As you can see, all the oranges cracked open because of irregular watering, and the result is quite creepy. They look like alien creatures ready to eat us, and we don’t like that.
4. The Starbucks location
We think this logo hardly needs an introduction, and people all around the world easily recognize it. We believe that it is also a very clever logo, but this is an alternative version of it because of a single detail. Someone put googly eyes on this particular one, and we think it is very creepy to see it.
5. The doll
Since we have seen all the horror movies out there, we tend to think there are only a few scarier things than dolls. You know, the kind of creepy dolls that appear to be possessed or that look almost alive. Dolls can never get any creepier than this handmade thing in the picture above.
6. The statue
Nature works in mysterious ways, and some people would never understand how amazing it is in every possible way. However, we need to admit that nature sometimes scares us a lot, and we have nothing to do about it except accepting the obvious. In this case, a beehive was built around a statue’s head, and it looks gruesome.
7. The collection
People sometimes have weird preferences when it comes to their hobbies. We respect those who are keen on collecting things, as we have collections of our own. Still, some individuals prefer weird stuff to collect, and this creepy doll collection is the best example of that.
8. The note
Marketers out there can come up with all kinds of random stuff, and we sometimes appreciate their efforts because they make us laugh or leave us impressed. In this case, however, they have gone a step too far, and we guess their idea behind the smiley face backfired at least a bit.
9. The doll
We already covered the reasons why and how a doll can be referred to as the creepiest thing possible, depending on the doll, of course. As you can see, this thing is surely something that could be featured in any scary movie that wants to bring weeks of nightmares to viewers.
10. The cat treats
Seeing this is enough to make us think about the things that are wrong with this world. As you can see, someone thought that it would be a good idea to advertise cat treats as human parts, and they even added an appropriate packaging image. It was probably a Halloween stunt to something similar, but we still think it is creepy.
11. The photograph
No, this is not an altered image, it is a genuine one, and this is the main problem, to be honest. You can see the scene above is worthy of being in a horror movie, but it was an accidental image taken by someone whose lens was invaded by a large mosquito.
12. The tree
Walking around the woods is always a good idea, and we love these long hikes that help us clear our minds and reconnect with nature. Still, this is only a good plan if you know where you are going. As you can see, nature can scare you using tricks such as the odd-shaped tree you see here.
13. The faces
We have seen dozens of smiley faces on all sorts of surfaces. You can see them on products, books, ads, and other places. This is fine until it becomes creepy, and it all depends on the design of the smiley face. These awkward ones are too weird, we believe.
14. The webcam
Now, this is something that would scare us a lot. As you can see, this person experienced the typical blue screen we have all seen when there is an issue with our computers. The odd part is the webcam window that appeared below, and the person who encountered this had no idea how or why it happened.
15. The signs
Well, this is yet another post that refers to the knowledge we have gathered from seeing too many horror movies. It seems that the person who captioned it has done the same, and we wonder about the same thing. What could go wrong when these facilities are near each other?
16. The bear
Thinking about the weird encounters we have had in our time, we cannot recall one that is as weird as the situation shown above. You could quickly realize this is a bear, but the way it captured by the person who took this image is the reason why it looks sinister.
17. The house
We are not entirely sure why would someone build a house that has no windows on it, but there is probably a good reason for that. We understand that some people prefer looking at their garden and backward instead of seeing the street all day, but they still have street-facing windows.
18. The cereal
There are many seemingly common things that could go wrong when you have breakfast. It is true that having cereal could hardly become something odd to do in the morning, but seeing this weird piece of long cereal can give some people anxiety.
19. The photo
School projects are awesome, as they encourage talents and boost many people’s creative genius. In this case, one person shared the accidental photo taken during the making of such a project, and it looks quite scary for some reason. Maybe it is just anxiety at its best.
20. The ad
There are things that immediately spark hundreds of questions the moment you see them, and this Elmo doll is one fine example of that. It appears that it was created for a reason, but we are pretty sure we don’t want to know about the reasons behind this.
