We have all been there: we find something awesome, but we have no clue what it might be. This is when we turn to the people on the internet for help. What better place to ask for anything, right? There will always be someone to answer your question, especially if you’re asking users on Reddit.
1. The huge object

Here is something that you don’t see every day, and the person who took this picture must have been a lot more surprised than we are. This object was as big as a Jeep, but it was hollow and made from plastic. It turned out that ship builders put these on ships as bumpers to use when docking.
2. The glowing object

Someone was strolling the streets of Taiwan years ago when they found this and bought it. The object turned out to be a persimmon. It is something that the people on Reddit claim to be a common thing tourists buy when in Taiwan as a souvenir or as a gift to their loved ones.
3. The large object

Here is something that makes us want it without even knowing what it is. The object you see is a vintage piece, and probably a valuable one. The person who found it had no idea what it did and asked redditors. It turned out to be a flip-top bottle stopper used with glass bottles.
4. The plastic piece

Here is something that is not that unfamiliar, but the person who posted it had no idea what it was used for. If you mop the floors inside your home on a regular basis, you will immediately recognize it. The piece is sued to squeeze the water from the mop and attaches to the bucket.
5. The device

It seems that even the objects that appear to be too common at first would be hard to be identified by people who haven’t seen them before. The unusual device is actually something common and very practical. It is a kitchen paper roll holder, and most people have one similar.
6. The vintage device

Now, this is something very cool, and we haven’t seen such a thing before. It seems we are not the only ones, as the person who took the pic had no idea what it was. Reddit gave the answer straight away, just as usual. It turned out this was a needle used for making rugs.
7. The hanging items

What looks like a weird coat hanger turned out to be something completely different. The item is very weird and it is obviously not something people use in most parts of the world. One user described this as a device used for hanging a kettle over the fire for heating.
8. The switch

Someone was baffled by this device they found after checking in an Airbnb and found this controller. It is not like the thermostats we are all used to dealing with. The person decided to ask what this was and got an answer: this was the controller for the floor heating.

People never know what their attic hides. We just put stuff there for years and forget about it. Sometimes, we see things that our parents have stashed there or even our grandparents. This person found a curious object but had no clue about it. Reddit revealed that it was a genuine shell casing.

Here is yet another image that shows something peculiar. The view is nice, but the person who took the image wanted to know more about these floating wooden docks, as they had no clue about what their purpose was. It turns out these are merely rafts used to hang out on or rest after swimming.
11. The apparatus

The person who took this pic was going down some old stairs when they noticed what appeared to be an old, round apparatus. The mystery about it was solved quickly, and it became apparent that it was a remote buzzer for the front door.
12. The device

Tools come in all shapes and sizes, and they are essential for doing everything around your home. There are, however, tools that are very specific and are never a part of any common toolbox. This image shows one such tool, and it is an electrician’s earth clamp.
13. The figurine

This is one very cute panda, and we immediately fell in love with it. There are moments when we want to own the things we see for the first time, and we love when this happens. Still, we had no clue what this is, and we understand it turned out to be a tiki mug, complete with its straw.
14. The pipe

Someone noticed this odd pipe sticking out of their facade and was curious to know what it was used for. After all, you need to know what all the things that are attached to your house are. It turned out this was where the communication cables entered the house.
15. The circles

Someone saw that their glass was not an ordinary one and shared this image. It shows that the bottom of the glass has a curious pattern that resembles bubbles. The reason was simple – these imperfections were intended, as they were meant to replicate bubbles.
16. The items

The things some people find make us envious of them, and we want to be able to come across similar gems, too. Not everyone gets to enjoy such finds. This person, for example, found a pair of cute shoes that were clearly used for decoration. They were wedding cake decorations, to be exact.
17. The teapot

This is one cute teapot, and we would love to add this to any collection of small and valuable items if were had the chance. It had a clip on the backside, meaning that it was probably some kind of pin. It turned out it was a place card holder. A nice one, too!
18. The frame

Seeing this empty frame sitting on a pole on a sidewalk is weird, and the fact that is empty probably meant there was something in its middle. The person who saw it had no idea about it and asked users on Reddit for help. It became apparent that this was a fire book holder.
19. The ball

Someone saw a peculiar antenna that was nothing like they had seen before. It seems that people who are tech-savvy could easily recognize this, but not us. Redditors helped and revealed it was a solar-powered Hitachi module.
20. The device

Some people find awesome things in their grandma’s house and share them online. In this case, this turquoise item turned out to be something rather unexpected. The users on Reddit recognized it and described it as a device that sliced boiled eggs into flower petal-shaped pieces.
