There are things in life that will always remain hidden, and for good, we guess. Still, some secrets are never meant to be kept for too long. They are revealed either by accident or after someone receives a tip. No matter the case, we believe that the revealed secrets are sometimes worth sharing. On the list below, there are pictures of secret passageways that people were lucky enough to find. Some of them are stunning and almost impossible to find.
1. The staircase
This is one awesome picture to start the list with. As you can see, someone came across this amazing wooden staircase hidden behind a wall. It looks like it leads to somewhere important.
2. The wall
This looked like a perfectly fine hallway, with no signs of having something special to it. Still, we were just as surprised to see the hidden door behind a wall section as were the people who found it.
3. The mirror
People often choose mirrors or paintings hanging on the wall to hide safes behind them. In this case, someone decided to hide a vault behind this huge mirror, and it worked, too! Nobody could suspect this.
4. The section
As you have probably guessed, this is an old soviet home, and it looks like it has seen better days, too. The curious part is that it has a built-in passageway leading to somewhere. It was probably used by spies.
5. The store
Who knew that stores also had secret doors. We have all seen the doors shops and stores have that lead to their warehouse areas. This is the first time we see such a door hidden behind an aisle.
6. The cabinet
Here is yet another brilliant example of how you can easily hide a door. This is a fully functional kitchen cabinet. Nobody could suspect there is something behind it, but you can see it leads to a staircase.
7. The bookcase
Now, this is one really impressive setup that we wish we had at our house. We don’t mean just the hidden door behind the bookcase, but the pool table and the awesome porch, too.
8. The room
We guess that some people are more eager to create an awesome hidden door than others, and they make everything look like it came out of a James Bond movie. This room is impossible to be found.
9. The tiny room
Seeing how this small space was cleverly used made us think about how we can utilize the small corners of our own homes that are never put to good use. It looks like you can hide anything in there.
10. The facade
Having a hidden door inside is one thing, but trying to create one out in the open, on the huge facade of a building, is a whole new challenge. As you can see here, the door is almost impossible to notice.
11. The cabinet
There are no words to describe how cool this idea is. Nobody could tell there is anything else behind this cabinet other than dust and spiderwebs. Whoever thought of this is a genius.
12. The door
This door is not hidden in the classic meaning of the word. It is rather hidden in plain sight, which is even cooler, to be honest. You have to go through trees and bushes to find this awesome entrance.
13. The bookcase
What looks like an ordinary bookcase is something entirely different. Every time we see such a setup, we cannot help but wonder how tricky would this be to pull off. It requires some pretty good skills for sure.
14. The picture
The only way to suspect there is something wrong with this part of the wall is the lack of the white cladding you see on the bottom of the wall. Still, it is impossible for most people to suspect something is hidden behind the picture.
15. The freezer
Combining usable space is the thing we like the most about commercial design. Someone obviously felt the same because they managed to combine a shop display with a refrigerator hidden behind it.
16. The counter
This is one of the best ideas on the list. We guess that people sometimes want to hide their valuables in a place that nobody could find. We are certain that this counter is the perfect solution.
17. The staircase
You never know what types of secret a bookcase could reveal. As you can see, this library has a really impressive secret – a hidden staircase behind of the bookcase sections. We love this one.
18. The wall
There are a lot of ways to hide a door inside a room, but we guess the best one is to have a wall pattern that helps the whole effort. As you can see, this wall did the trick, and the door is hard to notice when closed.
19. The vending machine
We know that most people would love to see a vintage vending machine because these are hard to find. In this case, the machine is even more curious, because it leads to a secret room.
20. The stone wall
There is no telling just how many secret doors have been right in front of our eyes, but we missed them because they were so cleverly hidden in plain sight. This one is a perfect example, and we like it a lot.
21. The bed
It seems that a secret space can be used for a lot of purposes. Most people choose to hide their valuables in safes or other types of hidden spaces, but this one is a lot bigger, as it is a hidden bedroom.
22. The hotel
Old buildings often hide a lot of things nobody could suspect. In this case, one of the people who visited a Costa Rica hotel was lucky enough to find a secret passage inside.
23. The stairs
We know there are many unique staircase designs out there, but we have never seen one that doubles as both a staircase going up and down. This is an awesome idea and we would love to have such a design at home.
24. The other staircase
Talking about awesome staircases, we just had to share this one, too. It seems like it was crafted by someone who knew what they were doing. As you can see, it looks like a perfect piece of construction.
25. The hidden room
This is an unfortunate moment, but we guess that it was a surprise for the people who caused it. They had no idea that there was a secret room built next to their house, and that it was underground, too. We like this idea and we think you could use such a room ourselves.
