We are all used to seeing different stuff on social media or random websites, and a lot of it is not real. People love to come up with all kinds of things only to make themselves feel good or to attract attention. It appears that some of them get away, but others are not that lucky. They lie about this or that, but they get caught eventually, especially when the original source of the information or the person they posted about happens to see the post and reply. This leads to hilarious or peculiar situations. The list below includes such posts.

Now, this is one way to ruin a good story, with the exception of the story not being true at all. While the person who posted it had no way of knowing what was about to happen, we like the outcome of the situation.

We know that some Instagram accounts are worth following, but this is obviously not one of them. The manager of the account posted these images claiming Thor had brothers, but it was soon cleared that he has sisters instead.

Wow, some people have the audacity to post things like that even when the target is a sweet old lady. In this case, however, the old lady was having none of this and decided to comment. We like this attitude a lot!
6. The partner
Having a partner in life is amazing, but we are convinced that it takes two to confirm that the partnership is real. Here, it turned out that the post was not real after the person featured in it commented on the matter. This is what it means to be busted.
7. The insinuation
This person went too far and we can all see that such behavior is not just wrong, it is way past unacceptable. Doing such things to attract attention is not the right thing to do, to say the least. It is a good thing that the person mentioned in the post defended his name.
8. The confirmation
Now, this is the kind of thing that would make people very excited, which is why the director decided to interfere and share that the claim was not true at all. Well, the movie will eventually be released next year, hopefully.

Messing with Samuel L. Jackson is not a good idea, no matter how you look at it. We understand that some media websites and social media accounts need to release such incorrect headlines, but this is too much.

We believe that the media would go to great lengths only to create the kind of scandal that would bring many people to their website or buy their paper. In this case, they altered an image that was completely different from the original.

When people lie about meeting celebrities, we think that they only want others to think of them as someone important who needs to be respected. Still, they need to do their homework before posting about a certain celeb.

Now, this is something that is way beyond the line of decency, and posting such a thing is something that could easily end up in a lawsuit. The headline is obviously meant to attract more readers, but it is misleading.

Some of the things that we really despise is seeing how one person poses on the internet and pretends to be someone who they are not. As you can see, someone saw another person using her own images, and this is simply not right.

Sometimes, the news that is spread by random people and media is not entirely false, but it is so out of context that it completely transforms the message. This is one such case, and we are glad the rapper decided to comment.

Here is how one person decided to stand up and reveal that another piece of news is simply not true. Plus, we also like the bald and, in our opinion, the correct position of the director about the upcoming movies based on comic books.

We know that drama and scandals are usually the result of someone’s effort to create them, which was probably one of the reasons why this headline exists. Still, the actor mentioned in it decided to join the conversation and deny it all.

The things that some people come up with to attract more readers or visitors to their website or social media account are just too weird sometimes, and this is one exception. As you can see, this is simply not true.

Given the fact that Drivetribe and Clarkson are connected because of his partnership with Hammond and May, it puzzles us that they didn’t check this story before posting it. Good thing that Jezza himself decided to clarify.

Wow, this is something that seems to be the kind of wrong things we don’t want to see anymore. This person was put on a public online platform with the claim of not tipping a server because someone wanted to make them look bad.

It seems that there are far too many myths related to Star Trek and all of its cast, and this is one of these myths. Good thing that Brent Spiner is active on Twitter, so he was able to quickly prove that wrong.

Here is a classic case of someone calling another person a liar (someone unknown) while knowing that they lied first. As you can see, a third user busted them and proved this the tweet was a real thing.

Some individuals can not wait to see how some celebs are involved in a feud and they stir the pot, waiting for it to go out of hand. In this case, there was no feud at all, and the people involved could easily confirm that.

The thing about show business is that is very unpredictable and things happen all the time that were not part of the original plan. In this case, the actor stood his ground and explained what happened in reality.

The thing about having a popular image that remains mysterious is that it would be revealed at one point or another. In this case, someone wanted to claim a certain fact was true, but the person who the fact was related to begged to differ.

We believe that there should be laws against this kind of thing, as they could be very bad for the public image of the person they target. As you can see, the image turned out to be altered, and it was an attempt to make this celeb look bad.

Some of the news that turns out to not be true has some truth to them, but they are way out of context. This is one fine example of what have in mind. We like the straightforward reply of this celeb, too.

Here is a classic case of unreal accounts on social media. This is something that could never be prevented, regardless of the means that social media platforms utilize to fight this unfortunate practice.

Elon Musk never seizes to make us laugh with his tweets, and he did it again one more time here. As you can see, he disproved the link that was posted by TIME before that.
29. The custom car
Well, here is Musk again, being honest and open about anything that is related to him. In this case, he stated that the claim about this car was completely not true.
