It was awesome being a kid. There are endless moments from our childhood that we would remember and cherish forever and ever. The things we used to do were always fun, and the best part was that we were free from the everyday hustle and bustle typical of adulthood. Kids are carefree and happy most of the time, with some exceptions, of course. But even those who didn’t have a happy childhood probably recall moments of pure bliss. As they say, life may be hard, but it is always beautiful.
Having all the above in mind, we guess that there is no way that there aren’t any memories that we all share. The list below suggests the ones we think we can all relate to.
1. The sleep
There was something special about our parents carrying us from the car to our bed.
2. The cracks
This was a weird ritual that we all did for some reason, and we guess that it was also the kind of simple and free game that was within our reach. We remember we had a lot of fun with it.
3. The balloons
Now, this brings back some memories, and we firmly believe that almost every kid has participated in such a game at least once. We understand that some people have never tried this fun game, too.
4. The tooth
Unlike playing games, this is something that no person would probably not remember. It was both scary and interesting to have such a tooth. This is what we remember.
5. The money
Today, we have more money than we had as kids, but we don’t feel like we are happier. Back then, even a few quarters were enough to make us feel like we had won the lottery.
6. The clock
This used to take forever, and we believe that we always thought that the clock was broken. Time seemed to go too slow, and we could not wait for school to be over.
7. The refrigerator
We have tried this multiple times, and we never managed to capture the moment it went off before the door was closed. Maybe someone succeeded in this endeavor.
8. The dog
For some weird reason, this used to be a lot of fun back in the day, and we can also see it as a great way of exercise from today’s perspective.
9. The palms
This used to happen to us quite often, but we always seemed to have an excuse for these moments. Plus, we did not seem to care a lot, too.
10. The taste
Now, this is one relatable memory, and we absolutely love it. We went back in time as if we had a time machine. This taste you can never forget.
11. The raindrops
We always used to sit back and enjoy this. We used to race drops, but we also liked to just look at how raindrops move around and merge with each other.
12. The teenagers
When we were about 10, we thought that the best thing in life was to be a teenager. We guess that we were wrong, as the teen years were kind of tough.
13. The mistake
We guess that kids often do this. There are many reasons why, but it is mostly due to a distraction. There is no doubt most of us have had such an experience.
14. The swings
Swings were something like an extreme sport back in the day, and we think that people who used to do it were keen on an adrenaline rush when they became adults.
15. The air
Field trips were an amazing experience, and we always looked forward to them. We think that the air in these mornings really was different.
16. The switch
Many people think that these switches had only two modes: on and off. Kids back in the day knew that they could balance the switch between them.
17. The eyes
We guess that this was not the best thing we did as kids, but since everyone was doing it, we used to do it as well, and it was sometimes painful.
18. The marker
This is something we remember like it was yesterday. There is no telling just how many adults would love to do this again. We want to do it as well.
19. The feeling
We know that some kids were very strict about the homework they were given, but we remember that we almost never did it on time.
20. The supermarket
The supermarket used to be a much bigger place back in the day. When we were little, we used to lose our parents between the aisles all the time.
21. The smell
We will always remember this smell, and we thought that we would always use crayons, even when we grow up. This is obviously not the way things happened.
22. The paper
This is another vivid memory that most people probably still cherish. The things we used to imagine back in the day were created by our imagination.
23. The box
Today, kids everywhere need sophisticated toys and gadgets, but we think that it was a lot of fun just playing with a simple empty box.
24. The checkout
Here is a feeling that we still get in case our friend or partner decides to go back to grab something. The cashier starts checking out the items, and we have no money on us.
25. The moment
We guess that there are moments when we felt like everything was perfect, and we truly believed that we would cherish such moments.
26. The store
Hiding between clothes that hung all around stores used to be some kind of sport, and most of us have done it in the wardrobes at home, too.
27. The event
It really seemed that thunderstorms were some kind of magic back in the day. We thought that some of these storms would be so powerful that we wouldn’t make it through them.
28. The window
It usually seemed that looking outside the window was like looking into a parallel universe. We guess that we all imagined different things when we did this.
29. The fan
These two things were some of the most affordable sources of fun we used to have back in the day. It seems that helium is something we remember well.
30. The stairs
We think that it might have some kind of paranoid behavior, but we really did spend a lot of time thinking that someone was chasing us.
31. The moon
Well, this is a post that we like a lot. It seems that this person has been busy with the same things most of us enjoyed back in the day.
32. The ruler
We know that some people are not going to remember this, but we understand that we are not the only ones who have tried bending a ruler.
33. The friends
We have all had such friends, and these were the days when we felt free as birds. It was good to be a kid, and we miss this time.
34. The silence
We think that there are many people who would remember such moments, and there was always someone who asked a similar question.
35. The world
We understand that people who have been to school can probably recall the times they stayed late there. It differed greatly from the busy daytime.
