All those who are busy in the tech support sector would probably admit that their line of work can be very difficult and even extreme sometimes. It doesn’t just take knowledge to work this job. It takes courage and patience, too, as it can be very tough to not lose it when people keep making you fix the unfixable. There are no limits to the requests tech people receive. The list below is dedicated to the absurd requests tech support employees were forced to respond to.
1. The rabbit
Well, this is one of the most absurd reasons why the internet connection may be interrupted. As you can see, this rabbit decided to snack on some cables, and the tech support people had to fix this.
2. The server
It seems that people never cease to amaze us by not following the simple piece of advice they are given. In this case, someone left the most accurate of notes, but someone still closed the laptop.
3. The tree
Well, this was not exactly an emergency, but it was still created by experienced tech people. It appears to be the perfect alternative Christmas tree.
4. The eatery
This is how one person was on the brink of quitting dining at their local eatery. The person was used to fixing the tech problems at this location, but given how they maintained the facility, it was better for them to just quit going there.
5. The cables
This is one exceptionally complicated setup, and we cannot believe it was part of a Marriot Hotel location. The server room you see would be impossible to rewire.
6. The critter
It seems that some people would never expect to see such a culprit when a problem was reported. This little critter may be cute, but the amount of trouble it can cause is tremendous.
7. The phone
We guess that people who have never tried to boot an iPhone would find it hard to believe that the device displays this type of image.
8. The neglected tech
It seems that some people are so far from the tech space that they have no clue about the basic maintenance they should perform when it comes to their PC. As you can see, this poor computer has never been cleaned.
9. The cat
It is true that some people can never get used to cats being attached to pieces of tech, especially laptops. There are moments when laptops overheat, and this is one of the possible reasons.
10. The phone
We know that many people are obsessed with taking selfies, and the only way they can stop doing this is to take their phone or break it. As you can see, this is sometimes not enough.
11. The cable
The things people do to sell their products are sometimes too much. Advertising this HDMI cable as a gold-plated item was obviously not the right thing to do. No tech support person can handle this or fix it.
12. The keyboard
The attempts to keep hold of your tech when it goes wrong are sometimes too much. This is the keyboard of a laptop someone wanted to dry after a drink was spilled all over it. The result is obvious.
13. The touchpad
Every tech support person would find this thing amazing. Someone found a very old laptop at a thrift store, and you can see what was amazing about it. The heavy use of the touchpad literally removed its paint layer.
14. The laptop
We are not sure what happened here, but this unfortunate laptop would never become someone’s personal assistant ever again. We hope they were to recover the data from its hard drive.
15. The situation
We actually know how this feels, and we know what causes it. The little bolts on the bottom of the laptop start to loosen up one at a time until they all fall off, and this happens as a result.
16. The tangled cables
Opening this box was probably a huge surprise to the tech support that came to solve an intercom problem. It became apparent why the client had issues with the device.
17. The recovery
We believe that some tech gurus are able to do the unthinkable. This extremely damaged piece of tech seemed to be hard to recover, but the HDD somehow survived and all the data was extracted.
18. The Mac cable
The people who work at tech support at large corporate structures have seen it all, and they sometimes document the things they come across. This Mac cable has yet to see its final day.
19. The keys
There are moments when we envy the endurance of some pieces of tech equipment. This keyboard, for example, is still going strong even after its owner created dimples in its keys from extensive use.
20. The dirty laptop
The thing about most problems with gadgets and machines is that they could have been avoided in case basic maintenance was performed. Sadly, the laptop you see hasn’t seen any TLC soon.
21. The rain
Except for good maintenance, people should read the manual and never use their equipment when they could cause harm to it. Using your laptop out in the open under the pouring rain is a no-no.
22. The hamster
It seems that the hamster shown above was not an isolated case. These critters can get inside your PC and trash it. The only way to avoid such a fate is to keep the hamster caged all the time.
23. The nest
Trying to convince everyone that you have seen it all is hard because nobody has done it. There is always a new thing to see, despite it might be impossible to believe. This wasp nest on a bundle of computer chips proves that.
24. The sanitizing
There are certain procedures that might appear to be good for you, but they are equally bad for your computer. As you can see, sanitizing this keyboard was surely a mistake.
25. The server setup
Wow, this is the kind of thing that we would never want to mess with. There are moments when we really feel for tech support people who are forced to fix or maintain such a setup.
26. The drill
The Wi-Fi server we mentioned above seems like a joke compared to this situation. As you can see, this person was picture standing on a drill that had just been down through a powerline junction.
27. The Wi-Fi
This is the backside of the router at an office. A new employee damaged it after she tried to read the password so she could watch videos. Imagine how flabbergasted the tech support people were when they saw this.
28. The electricity
It is true that not all mistakes are irreversible, and a solution can be found easily. As you can see, someone made a mistake here, and this door handle has electricity running on it.
29. The old owner
We are not entirely sure how or why this happened, but we are quite certain that it was not carried out with finesse. As the tech support person was told, this was a legacy from a previous owner of the property.
30. The maze
Some systems are way too complicated to be explained to a rookie tech person, but this is beyond any professional’s capabilities. The one who created this mess was probably beyond sloppy.
31. The paint
Well, this is the kind of thing that could happen to everyone who is not careful when doing home renovations. This fancy monitor looks expensive, but we think it might not be salvageable.
32. The cables
Here is how a server room can look like. Someone asked for a network map of this maze, and we are quite certain that nobody would be able to pull that off.
33. The ports
Someone called tech support because some of the ports on their laptop stopped working, and it eventually became apparent that all of them malfunctioned. You can see the reason in this picture.
34. The notebook
The things that some people do when it comes to using tech equipment are beyond words. We will let this image speak, because it is louder than a thousand words. Nobody should open a laptop like that.
35. The batteries
Here is what happens when people leave their batteries plugged, or do not charge and recharge them as they should. There is nothing left for this tech support specialist except to collect the batteries.
36. The monitor
Well, the delivery personnel out there are sometimes too disrespectful of the items they ship. It seems that people should handle such items with extreme care – the opposite of what happened here.
