Reddit is an endless source of fun topics and all kinds of content and information. There is literally something for everyone there. As part of this incredible and endless stream of information, the various threads people create are curious to check out, and we guess that they are also an interesting way to participate while learning new things. The list below gathers people’s responses to a topic someone posted. It asked others to share what they think we will all miss 40 years from now. The replies vary a lot, but they are all awesome. You can read the whole discussion on Reddit.
1. The season

It seems that the four seasons as we know them would probably have blurred transitions to the point that they would become hard to distinguish from one another.
2. The platform

We understand that some people are convinced that these video platforms are becoming outdated today, not to mention 40 years ahead in time.
3. The person

We believe that this is something that will change as suggested, but we are not exactly sure about the way it would change, to be honest.
4. The games

Yes, there is no doubt that we need to admit video games as we know them today will not exist, and we will say what is suggested here.
5. The wrap

We are not sure about this one, as it is a great thing to use for a plethora of things. It might have a better alternative someday, though.
6. The blasters

We miss these already, as we haven’t used one in a really long time, but these will not be around 40 years from now for sure.
7. The essentials

We believe that we have already lost the first one, but in the future, things are likely to become even worse. It would be the same with water.
8. The joke

This is one thing that might sound like a joke today, but the chances of this happening are fairly large.
9. The months

This is something that is valid for all of us. We understand that nothing will last forever, meaning that we need to live for the moment.
10. The things

These things will all be missed in our opinion, too. They will likely be replaced with different things that will not be the same due to nostalgia for the old.
11. The air

We know that people out there would probably be afraid of this prediction, but it is already happening and we need to stop it.
12. The freedom

We are still in the early days of the internet, and we believe we would need to accept new rules and restrictions in the near future.
13. The car

Self-driving cars are literally everywhere these days, and it is a matter of time for them to become mass-produced.
14. The bears

This is the saddest thing on the list so far. We understand that polar bears would one day be extinct, and this is awful to accept.
15. The drinks

It appears that we cannot deny what this person suggests, and there is no telling what will happen after that.
16. The temperatures

If we keep neglecting climate change and if we continue damaging the ozone layer, we will miss today’s temperatures one day.
17. The happiness

We know that some people would immediately agree that it is a matter of time for us to get older and older. We will miss being young.
18. The pollution

This post tells the truth. There are many things we could do to make things better for all of us, and this is the most important of them all.
19. The elections

We know that some people would disagree with this or would not care about this, but chances are we will today’s ways.
20. The books

We are not entirely sure if this would be something we will miss. We hope that these books never become obsolete.
21. The cameras

This is yet again the kind of thing we are experiencing today, but some people think it would get worse in the years to come.
22. The seafood

This is sad, but it would probably become a fact at one point. There is no telling what could happen with sea life in 40 years.
23. The series

Fans of this animated marvel would probably feel nostalgic at one point and they would likely be willing to see it again.
24. The money

This is almost a fact today, and we seem to use cash money less and less. In 40 years, cash money would probably be obsolete.
25. The generation

This is the kind of thing we are wondering these days. Maybe today’s online mayhem will be something we miss.
26. The people

Yes, maybe someday we will miss this as well. There is no telling just how many people would miss having a distance between them when in public places.
27. The koalas

We really hope that koala bears are still around in 40 years. We would really miss these cuties if they happen to be extinct in 40 years.
28. The games

This is the kind of thing that would probably fade away, but true friends would probably still do this exact same thing.
29. The malls

It seems that this has already begun happening, and malls here and there are closing down. Maybe we will miss these places one day.
30. The handshakes

We don’t know if this is something that we will stop doing, but if we do, we will miss this type of contact.
31. The sky

We guess that this is a very accurate prediction, and the night sky would surely not be the same as it is today.
32. The transmission

People today want automatic transmissions, and we guess that the majority of vehicles will have automatic gearboxes in 40 years.
33. The moment

Some people are just not ready for the future, and we guess that living for the moment is the way to go.
34. The driving

We are not sure about this one, but we guess that most people out there would consider this idea to be plausible.
35. The games

We already feel nostalgic about the games we used to play 20 years ago, but we guess that we will miss a lot more in a few decades.
36. The restaurants

Future restaurants might be virtual versions of what we know them to be today, and we guess that this post might turn out to be true.
37. The payphones

We know that it would be impossible for our kids to understand the concept of payphones. They will be completely gone in 40 years.
38. The social media platform

In order to keep things on the brighter side, we guess that we like to think Reddit would still be around 40 years from now.
39. The mail

We guess that mail and texts would likely cease to exist, and there would be other forms of communication in 2060 and beyond.
