A dad joke is a short joke, typically a pun, presented as a one-liner or a question and answer, but not a narrative. Dad jokes are stereotypically told with sincere humorous intent, or to intentionally provoke a negative reaction to its overly-simplistic humor.

While the exact origin of the term dad joke is unknown, a writer for the Gettysburg Times wrote an impassioned defence of the genre in June 1987 under the headline “Don’t ban the ‘Dad’ jokes; preserve and revere them”. The term “dad jokes” received mentions in the American sitcom How I Met Your Mother in 2008 and the Australian quiz show Spicks and Specks in 2009. In September 2019, Merriam-Webster added dad joke to the dictionary.

Understanding everything literally sometimes is not that good at all. Well, having your password like that is not that bad at all.

Well, this is a good one if you can’t remember someone’s name. Me, personally have called a lot of girls like that through the years, especially when I can’t remember their names. Sometimes they like it, sometimes they don’t.

In this one we are referring the operating systems Apple OS and Windows OS, since the Apple OS doesn’t need any kind of windows OS to run if they are to make a car, the car would need no windows.
