There is a great variety of Airbnb locations and hotels across the world and it seems that most of them are very competitive. Still, there are places that are either controversial for some reason, or just plain outrageous. There are many people who never miss taking pictures of such places and sharing them later.
1. The view
It is always nice to enjoy the view in case there is a view to see in the first place. In this place the owners wanted to have a window so much that they have installed one. It didn’t really bother them that there was a wall behind it.
2. The stairs
It seems that these hotels love these stair carpets, for some reason. Honestly, I could never get through these steps if I was sleepy or tired. They did some bad designing here.
3. The vent
It seems that this part of the hotel room was never cleaned after installing. A lot of housekeepers always try not to do all the work good if they can. Well, here is one perfect example.
4. The light
Water dripping down a light fixture on the ceiling is surely a sign to leave the hotel. Maybe it’s from the roof, or maybe from the upper floor. Anyway, I would stay there to find out.
5. The room
This Russian hotel needs to install a ramp over these stairs or remove that sticker.
6. The mirror
It seems that putting a mirror over another one is surely not a good thing to do, but the result is kind of funny. Let’s hope that whoever is in there will not have to shave.
7. The carpets
Here is one unusual carpet print design that I actually like, excluding the mouse pointer.
8. The socket
Here is what a person was surprised to find in their room. This socket should not be there. And one more question, where is the that cable coming from and what is actually plugged in?
9. The view
This was supposed to be a nice effect but we believe they had to think it over. If you look carefully you will notice a toilet seat behind that “fireplace”. It’s kind of innovative and in the same time weird.
10. The door
This motel was surely not a premium class and you can tell that because of this door installation. A lot of people who would do such job would not consider the dimensions and when everything is installed there would be no other choice, but to cut the door, because other way it can not be opened completely.
11. The mural
It seems that this is not the best thing to put on the way to the hotel fitness. It’s actually kind of scary. I wouldn’t go that way if I was a guest.
12. The TV
We guess that this TV unit cannot get much smaller than it already is.
13. The other carpet
People surely need to watch their step when they go down these stairs. I don’t know about the other people, but I would definitely go down the “hard” way here.
14. The note
Now, this is one of the notes that nobody would expect to see in a hostel.
15. The chair
It seems that this hotel needs to pay attention to the cleaning quality.
16. The guide
We believe this is the most confusing number sign in a hotel we have ever seen.
17. The balcony
This Airbnb was listed with a featured balcony but it seems it does not have a real one. Well, it actually does have one, but is not usable at all. Unfortunately these day, a lot of people would actually do something like that and a lot of people will fall for it. That’s why, it’s always a good idea to ask for a detailed photos before paying.
18. The roommate
This is surely the last thing you would like to see in your hotel room.
19. The fitness center
This is the most unusable fitness center we have ever seen and they would never be able to clean it. This center looks more like a warehouse to me. Well, next time I see there is a fitness in my AIRBNB I will PM the owner to ask if that fitness is actually usable or not.
20. The bathroom
This sink is clearly unusable due to the lack of space. They could have installed a new one.
21. The bathroom door
We believe that this is not the most romantic thing to see during your hotel stay. Well, at least they did blur the door.
22. The view
Those who paid to have a nice view of the sea surely had something to complain about. And let’s remember again – ask for a detailed photos from different prespectives.
23. The giant TV
Those who are willing to enjoy this widescreen TV would be disappointed.
24. The glass doors
We guess that this is the last thing you would want to see in a hotel room. Well, at least they did a 100% blur on the upper part of that glass.
25. The hairdryer
Now, this is one really curious but not advisable way to mount a hairdryer. I would definitely NOT take a shower in there or use the dryer.
26. The pool
Very few of this hotel’s guests were probably charmed by this pool substitute.
27. The doorstop
We all know how doorstop work but this one is utterly ridiculous and one’s toe could end up being jammed in it.
28. The hallway
This is the kind of pattern that is surely not suitable for a hotel hallway. We all know what it looks like from first sight.

This carpet pattern is obviously not the most comforting one we have seen in a hotel.
30. The wall
Having dozens of eyes staring at you while you are in the toilet is not a good feeling.
31. The other wall
What was supposed to be an artistic touch looks like hair in a frame which is not classy at all. I would definitely not enjoy my coffee there.
32. The exit
Here is how the fire escape in this hotel had specific instructions on it.
33. The fridge
It seems that this is the tiniest fridge ever fitted to a hotel room. And remember – next time when you read that there is a fridge you can use, ask for a detailed photo.

You need to be absolutely sober and extremely careful when you go down stairs like these.
35. The pool
This is the kind of hotel pool you need to stay really far away from for obvious reasons.

Here is how guests at this hotel tested their sense of orientation despite they don’t want to.

This warning in a hotel room is just about enough to get you worried about spending the night there.
38. The bathroom
Using the toilet there seems to be impossible for tall people but this man was able to do it. Well, sitting on it would also work, but it’s not suitable for a man.

Here is how one cleaner was able to create a monkey with the used towels which is kind of scary.
40. The spelling
Well, we give this hotel staff two thumbs up for trying but the spelling ruined everything.
41. The view
This is what a person received after booking an Airbnb with a sea view. Well, in this case there is a sea view, like 5% of the total view, yeah, but still.
42. The menu
Of all the weird menus we have seen, this has got to be the worst of all.
43. The pool area
Nobody could complain here, as this is obviously a pool area.
44. The window
No bathroom should have a window that is open to the hallway for others to peep inside.
45. The huge pool
We guess that everything is a matter of perspective. In the art of photographing it’s all about perspective and angle. You can see perfect example here.
