HR is maybe one of the most important departments of every company. If the HR managers are not doing their job good the company will have a hard time having good and qualified staff. As in every department, the HR one comes with the good and the bad parts of it. The good part is that while reading the comments on this Reddit thread we will have a good laugh. The bad part is when are interviewed and tell something that we shouldn’t had. Reading these comments will help everybody who will be looking for a job not to make the mistakes these people did.
1. The patients and the translation.
Well, having such an important job should make every person on that position really careful of the translations. Such positions should be monitored all the time and quality tested every once in a while just to make sure it’s all good. The HR did good here when noticed that something is going on and took the correct decision to report it.
2. The weird candidate
It is a really good advice to behave good when on interview. When you can’t really answer a question just say so and don’t do things like that, because HR will definitely not hire you.
3. The “friends” and the bankroll.
These dudes decided to steal the customers lists and to start their own company. Since the guy who should have found the money to start the company failed, his “friends” decided to dump him. The guy tried to get his job back, but I don’t believe he did. The moral of the story is that if a person is capable of something like this, there is always a chance, he/she will scam you.
4. The book for dummies.
Well, I believe that if that dude had answered correctly to all the question pulling out the book “answering interview questions for dummies” would still do him a bad favor. Doing something like that during an interview is totally unacceptable.
5. The college graduate
Well, this here is a perfect example of a man who have never worked before. Unfortunately every single one of us have to work his way to the top. Without proper experience it’s almost impossible to start as a manager in a good company.
6. Almost the perfect candidate
Well, every reliable company has such or similar policy. My advice is to never ask such questions or even talk about stuff like that in order to get hired.
7. The color
It’s pretty good to be prepared for a job interview, but remember to learn even the small details like for example the color of the glue. It’s pretty important for every company that the employees are familiar with it even in the smallest details.
8. The lady
This experienced lady said everything as she supposed to, but at the end she called low-income customers coons which is not good at all and this was the reason she didn’t get the job. Remember, always treat all customers the same.
9. The woman and the IT position
It is really important to be hygienic wherever you go. It’s not a good idea to rub an infected eye and then to shake hand without cleaning yourself first.
10. The location
It is really important to get familiar with the location of the company you are applying for a job. Yes, one can really move if it is a well payed job, but this was not the case here, because if he knew where the company was located there wouldn’t be such silence on the phone call.
11. The clothes
It is really important to have a good look when you go to a job interview. Make sure you take a shower and dress appropriately. It is important, because there are plenty of examples for people who don’t get a job, because of their clothes.
12. The hair
If you want a job that bad and the employer is strict about haircuts you just will have to obey, otherwise it will be good to look for a job where company does not require short hair.
13. The prospect
It is a good idea to be honest, but in this particular example it wasn’t such a great idea to tell your future bosses about your dark side.
14. The woman and the dude
Never be late for an interview if you really want to get the job and also make sure you have a copy of your resume in good condition all the time. About the dude, you should never go like that on an interview and also you have to talk friendly, but also not too much. ‘I did stuff’ is definitely not a friendly answer.
15. The skills
It is really important to talk about your skills on an interview, not your personal problems.
16. The T-Shirt
As I have mentioned before, wearing an appropriate T-shirt is really important. You can’t really expect to get the job if you show up with a t-shirt like that.
17. The phone interview
If you are on an interview you should never use words like that. It will give bad impression to the person who is chatting with you.
18. The fast food
This dude got hired for no reason, but he still got the job, so maybe HR saw that he was reliable and decided to give him a chance.
19. The wrong GPS location
It’s pretty common for big cities and in general to have the same street name in different areas, so make sure you select the are as well in order not to mess up the location.
20. The record
Remember always to be honest with the company you want to work for. Most HRs do a background check on you and if you lie they will get you. If they get you, you will not get the job.
21. The interest
Well, obviously here, the lady went there, because an agency sent her, not because she wanted a job. If you don’t want the position you are applying for badly you will most likely not gonna get it.
22. The company internal interview.
Well, sometimes when you know that you don’t have the required skills for a position you need to lay low, not to go and apply for a better position which requires more skills than the current one.
